Fuck Yeah The Beatles

I was in a car accident when I was three and hit my head causing me to become deaf. My mother, determined to not completely omit music from my life, found ways for me to enjoy it. We would sit in the car and listen to songs with great bass lines with the bass turned all the way up so I could feel the music. We listen to I Want You and I Wanna Hold Your Hand this way. She would also sign Golden Slumbers and Rocky Raccoon to me and I learned them myself. When I was 11, I woke up and my mom was playing music (she always did this, but when I was awake the bass would be up) and I heard "Julia, seashell eyes, windy smile, calls me So I sing a song of love, Julia". These were the first words I heard since the accident and also, the first time I really heard The Beatles. The doctors think my regained hearing was just by chance; the hearing part of my brain re-connected somehow. It was an amazing thing to wake up to.
